Jake

Jake is a bloodhound that was found by one of our volunteers.  The first couple days he was at the shelter, he did great. Then disaster struck!  Jake has seperation anxiety!  This causes him to destroy what ever he can.  One of our other volunteers agreed to foster Jake before he could destroy everything!  Little did she know that he would continue his behavior and ruin items in her house.  After a VERY long winter, the perfect family for Jake walked in.  They were warned of his anxiety, but wanted him anyway!  Too-Cool Jake now spends his days riding around in a pickup with his hat & sunglasses on!  We are thrilled he has a wonderrful new family who loves him!

Quinn/Celeste

This little calico kitty, now named Celeste, came to us when she was about 4 weeks old and very sick. One night, we left her lying on a heating pad in an effort to save her life. The next morning, when we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised to see Quinn running down the hall to great us! This kitty, who almost died, was soon adopted by a loving woman who sleeps with her evey night!

Kismet

Kismet, which is a Turkish word for fate or destiny, was adopted by one of our volunteers. After about a month of volunteering and wondering why this cute, friendly calico was not getting adopted, our volunteer decided it must be fate and that Kismet was meant for her. Now Kismet resides happily in Big Rapids with her mom and dad, and big sister, Indey, another calico.
